BREAD TREATS

Ingredients

6 slices bread

2 tbsp. butter

1 tsp. mustard powder mixed with 1 tsp. water

6 tsp. green chutney

3 tbsp. grated cheese

2 tbsp. melted butter for brushing

Method

  1. Cut out the crusts from the bread slices.
  2. Steam the bread slices for 2 minutes. Roll each slice very thinly with the help of a rolling pin.
  3. Lightly butter the bread slices and spread the mustard mixture on top.
  4. Spread 1 teaspoon of chutney and sprinkle 1/2 tablespoon of grated cheese on each slice.
  5. Roll up each slice tightly and secure with a toothpick.
  6. Arrange the rolls on a lightly greased baking tray and brush lightly with a little melted butter.
  7. Bake at 100 degree C (200 degree F) for a few minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.
  8. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and chili sauce.
