  Vegetable Pakoda

Ingredients

 6 tbsp Plain flour

1 tbsp Self-raising flour

2 tsp Chili powder

1 tsp Baking powder

˝ tsp Salt

˝ tsp Freshly ground black pepper

2 tsp Turmeric powder

3 tsp Curry powder

1 tsp Garlic powder

2 Beaten eggs

1 Large onion peeled and shredded very finely

1 Medium potato, peeled and chopped very finely

˝lb Spinach, chopped very finely

˝ Pint cold water

Method 

  1. Put all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix together thoroughly with your fingers to form a paste and leave to stand for an hour.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan and turn the flame to a medium heat take a small amount of mixture at a time with a spoon or with your fingers, drop into the oil, do not cook more than six at a time, fry until brown, drain.

Serve with minty yoghurt sauce.
