Dry Spicy Chane

Ingredients

  • 2 cups black chana soaked and cooked,

  • 2 chopped onion,

  • ¾ cup chopped tomatoes,

  • 1 tbsp ginger paste,

  • 1 tbsp garlic paste,

  • 2 green chilies slit,

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder,

  • ½ tsp chili powder,

  • 1 tsp jeera powder,

  • 1 tsp dhania powder,

  • 2 bay leaves,

  • juice of half lemon

  • Fresh coriander leaves and salt.

Method

  1. Heat 3 tbsp oil, add bay leaves, chopped onion. Fry till golden brown.

  2. Add 1 tbsp each of ginger garlic paste, 2 slit green chilies. Fry.

  3. Add the tomatoes and cook well. Add all the dry masalas. Fry for 5 -10 min.

  4. Add boiled chana. Mix well. Fry for 5 minutes. Add the lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves.

  5. Serve with bread or rotis.
