  Pudhina Shorva (Mint Soup)

Ingredients

Yogurt - 2 1/4  cups
Bengal Gram Flour (besan) - 1  tbsp
Water - 2  cups
Mint Leaves (roughly Chopped) - 3  tbsp
Green Chilies (chopped) - 2
Peppercorns (crushed) - 1  tsp
Cumin Seeds (roasted And Powdered) - 1  tsp
Ginger (chopped) - 1  inch
Salt to taste
Cream - 1/3  cup

Method

  1. Add gram flour to the curds and mix well. Add one cup of water and whisk so that no lumps remain.
  2. Heat oil, add chopped ginger and sauté. Add chopped green chilies and sauté. Add the yogurt mixture and water.
  3. Add crushed pepper corns and roasted cumin powder.
  4. Add chopped mint leaves and strain.
  5. Boil the mixture again. Add cream and take off the heat.
  6. Serve hot immediately .
